Secret Cravings
4 out of 5 stars
Matthew is stuck guarding someone he doesn't even like and when things start to happen that don't seem to add up the job because an even bigger pain. But somewhere along the line feelings start to develop between Matthew and Nick. I like that despite the intensity of the situation the relationship was still allowed a slow build. The ending was totally unexpected but fit so well with the story. I really think this story was actually a 4.5.

Amazon: Customer Review
3.0 out of 5 stars Bodyguard....a good fast read, May 14, 2012

This review is from: The Bodyguard (Kindle Edition)
This is my first time reading any of Donna McIntosh's books. This one the Bodyguard was good. I read it in one sitting. The plot is great and the places visited were numerous but this could easily be a full 500+ page novel if the plot was explored. The places visited from Hong Kong to Japan to Australia to the US. then the trip across the US all of this should have been more detail and more attempts on the primary. Needed to be more daring really work the protection thing. I hope to see more. If you want a quick read Buy it. Well worth the money. Just wish it was longer.

Matthew Harrington is forced to go to Hong Kong and do whatever he needs to get Nicholas Kehr released from prison. After he gets Nicholas released, he is supposed to take him somewhere he can guard him until the time comes for him to testify. Nicholas Kehr is beaten when Matt breaks him out of prison.
The attraction between Matt and Nicholas grows as they are forced to spend time together. They will have to hide out and wait until they can discover who at the bureau is dirty. They will need to discover who they can trust they get killed. Will Matt and Nicholas make it to the trial?
The Bodyguard by Donna McIntosh is an action packed ride; if you like books with lots of action and more story than sex, then this is a must read for you. I was hoping to get more sizzle between Nicholas and Matt; there wasn’t much sexual tension between them. But I can’t fault Ms. McIntosh on the story--she brings it! She gave me a story I really couldn’t stop reading. I like her ability to transport me in her stories and make me feel as if I am running with her characters. I know I will look for more of Ms. McIntosh’s work in the future. I will love seeing where she takes me next.
