I enjoyed this series very much. I love cop stories so a story that involves a cop and another cop from another universe is heaven.

I love the way the author created this new world. Sean and Mitchell are both hot sexy men and the hate-love-hate relationship is great. This story has mystery and intrigue, two Alpha males, and some great secondary characters. Sean is thrust into a world he has no idea what to do with and Mitchell is there is to offer a helping hand. Mitchell has saved Sean's life even though if given the chance Sean would have him locked up. Sean begins to understand he may have been wrong about Mitchell.

Strangers amoung us .... This would have been a good read if I had read it first, unfortunately I read the second in the series 'Missions' first. You would think the editor/author would rectify inconsistencies between the two novels prior to publishing but they have not so I was left in a jumble between them. I would recommend this novel over the second novel 'Missions'.

Serena Yates's review Apr 28, 2012
3 Stars
Building a different world is always a challenge. This one was interesting – it sort of sneaked up on me. The book starts out fairly normal, as a contemporary tale, then these elements of mystery and somewhat unexpected differences are introduced. We learn along with Sean, the main character who tells the story, and find out about the Keepers.
Sean Riker is a very dedicated police detective, and tenacious to boot. Even when he finds out the criminal he has been after (Mitchell Yates) is not what he seems, it takes him a while to adjust. We don’t really find out a lot about what drives him, or what his real passions are, he seems to drift along a lot after discovering this new world. Not that I can blame him – it is the kind of discovery that would shake anyone’s world!
Yana, the real name of Mitchell Yates, is one of the Keepers, and remains somewhat mysterious even after Sean begins to spend time with him. I hope here will be more details in the next book or books. He has spent twenty years doing this job, and is just as dedicated as Sean. He has grown up in a very peaceful environment, a total utopia compared to Earth, but issues with fellow humans still exist, and his is called Jimmy. I was a little annoyed at the lack of fervor and passion Yana showed when Jimmy starts making inappropriate comments, but I guess that is just the way the Keepers handle things.
If you like stories with a leisurely pace, sci-fi that is just far enough out of our reach to be interesting, and slowly developing relationships between two men who are surprised by their feelings for each other, you may like this book.

MM Good Book Reviews
3 1/2 Hearts
Sean has been trying to pin Yates for his crimes for years. But, they always slide off him and Yates always walks away clean. But, now Sean is having to rethink everything he has ever known, as Yates saves his life and shows him a life he never even suspected. Yana (Yates) is not who he first appears to be and it is a revelation as to who he really is.
I liked this story as it has a secret organization that is trying to help with justice on Earth. Sean is a LAPD detective who ends up getting rescued by his nemesis Yates. Sean doesn’t have a clue what is going on when Yates rescues him and takes him to a place that no one on Earth has a clue about. But, that doesn’t stop his questions. Yana (Yates) has an opportunity to show Sean that he isn’t as bad as Sean thinks and to show Sean his life. But, with an ex hanging in the background and his work to do, he doesn’t have much time to spend with Sean and relies on his friends to show Sean what their community is like.
Yana and Sean have a slow developing relationship. with Sean having to resolve what he thought he knew about Yana and what he now knows to be true. Yana seems to have been admiring Sean from afar, but knew that because of his role, Sean wouldn’t have anything to do with him. It was nice to see a slow build-up with a bit of confusion thrown in, in the shape of Jimmy. The space-station is a unique touch, as this is set in modern times and we get a bit of back-ground about the Peace Keepers and what their role is. But…I was left with questions.
I must admit that there was a couple of interesting aspects to the story, but we only got the beginning or the tail end of it. To me this story is the warm up leading to a wider range of stories in the future; sort of giving us a taste of what is to come. where we will learn more about the Peace Keepers in the future.
I will recommend this to those who love science fiction, conflict, adjusting perspectives, finding love and the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

LAPD county Detective Sean Riker is a seasoned, highly respected cop. The only thorn in an otherwise stellar career is that he’s never been able to arrest his nemesis, a criminal called Mitchell Yates. Each time Sean thinks he’s managed to pin Yates down they guy wiggles free.
Thinking on ways to catch Yates breaking the law Sean pulls into his apartment parking space and ironically he finds the criminal waiting for him. Anger turns to confusion and then to danger when suddenly bullets start flying and Yates saves his life by teleporting them both away.
He’s been taken aboard Yates or Yana’s home above the Earth where an entire civilization called The Keepers live and thrives. Yana explains that they are Intergalactic peace keepers who deal with dangerous situations on the planet in order to protect the greater good. Sean’s eyes are opened to another existence where Yana is a ‘good’ guy, someone Sean could grow closer too. With his many skills this might be the place for Sean to call home, especially if Yana is near. One inhabitant however already considers Yana his own and his plans for Sean aren’t so noble.
Home is an imaginative adventure where a veteran cop discovers a world beyond his own. Det. Sean Riker learns in the blink of an eye that the ‘bad’ guy is undercover and there are worlds beyond our own. Sean and Yana deal with their share of drama in this story and let their new friendship develop into something deeper. More along the lines of an innocent romance, Home also displays gentle interactions without any real sexual situations. Sean and Yana find where the heart is – Home.
