I love this series. This has an Earth cop and a cop from another universe. Great story.

The world of the Keepers, beings who are in charge of bringing peace to the universe, becomes a lot more real in this second book of the series. Sean, the ex-LAPD detective, and Yana, his lover, have settled down in their relationship and go on several missions. The range of adventures is definitely entertaining, and their love is tested several times, bringing some additional tension to the story.
Sean has finished his year-long training and is more than ready to go on assignment. When Yana isn't as enthusiastic about him taking on a dangerous job as Sean thinks he should be, tension erupts. Add a jealous ex-lover to the picture, and the first catastrophe ensues. But that isn’t all. The next dangerous mission comes along all too soon, and this time it's Sean's very life that is at stake.
Yana may be a "wise" Keeper, but he still has a lot to learn about relationships. Especially with someone as stubborn and impulsive a Sean. Luckily, Yana is very patient and, with some prodding, can be forgiving as well. Except when things happen that are outside his control, and there is nothing he can do. That's the real test for him, but the one thing that is certain is that he loves Sean, and that will help him through a lot.
If you like stories that are all about the adventure and gradually ease into the relationship as the book progresses, if you enjoy sci-fi that is close enough to our world to feel as if it might actually happen, and if you want to know how Sean and Yana from HOME are doing, then you will probably like this book.

3 1/2 Hearts
Sean and Yana are back, with Sean just completing his training to become an agent of the Peace Keepers and Yana settling into semi-retirement. Their relationship is going strong, but Sean begins to have concerns on their first mission together and then Yana’s ex shows up causing waves… but, the worst for both of them is Sean’s disappearance, can Yana get to Sean in time? This is a great novella giving us a look into the life of Yana and Sean as they go on missions and resolve personal difficulties. Yana and Sean are a great couple. their relationship is going well and Sean is about to go on his first mission, but Yana voices his doubts when he hears the Krill’s might be heading in the same direction which makes Sean feel like Yana doesn’t really believe in his abilities. Later, on a break on Earth, Yana’s ex sticks his nose in and Sean leaves Yana. Luckily, Aaron and Noel stage an intervention. Then Sean is kidnapped and Yana must save him, but will Sean ever recover?
Quite a bit of action and excitement with arguments and recriminations, misunderstandings and forgiveness are in this story. We have the wonderful Yana and Sean and although their relationship is great, it is about to hit a very rocky patch. Not only that, but Yana’s concern makes Sean feel as though he is incapable of his new job and then we have the kidnapping, which is quite heart-breaking for Yana and very disturbing for Sean. I quite liked the way we could have a peek into Yana and Sean’s lives and the action of the missions was really good. Sean’s reaction to the ex was completely over the top though and I think Yana forgave him too quickly. I would have made him stew for a lot longer.
So, I recommend this to those who love sci-fi, action, danger, personal conflict, over the top reactions, very forgiving natures and a happy ever after.
